    I always used driftwood to soften water, but I've also heard you can add some peat moss to your filter to help soften aswell.

    New here not to aquariums

    New here have had FW aquariums 20+ years. Starting a 150+ FOWLR soon"ish"... Currently have a 46 BF FW community, and hopefuly will be converted to reef next year, and 2 bettas "Him' & "Her" lol Some pics of the bettas, the 46BF and a before and after of the 150. The 150 is still empty...
