What is my tank cleaning fish?

Hey! A month back my two goldies died when a disease they had worsened, it seems the fish in the shop I had bought them from had also been afflicted. Anyway I have one fish (not a goldfish) left, he's a little tank cleaning fish, however I have no idea what he is, he's tear shaped and about two...

    Blackmoor Diagnosis - Ich

The tank is 23 gallons, and I will not add any fish. I admitt I don't do water changes as often as I should, only about once every one a a half weeks . The water shows very low levels of Nitrite, which I am waiting to come back down (I treated with Machalite green and apparently this...

    Blackmoor Diagnosis - Ich

I am doing water changes, and I try to get the stuff to come off. My tank is 30" x 12" x 15" and heavily planted, I've had it just over a month. I must say that after posting, the blackmoor (the only fish except a tiny one that lives under the filter) looked a bit better. I was going to get...

    Blackmoor Diagnosis - Ich

Water snail, Bob the water snail

NO, adding Ich treatment JUST for snails may be overkill (forgive the pun). My blackmoor picks them up in his mouth and then fires them across the tank, this is also a fairly good way to keep the population down, they just don't feel life is worth living when they become sport for an insane...

Out of interest I dont think snails are big fans of machalite green, I have one left after a whitespot treatment... ...though I did loose a fish too, sniff.

Does my blackmoor have white spot?

Well, he looked okay the night before, though he seemed to have a bit of trouble eating his fish flakes, as he was to slow to catch them. But the Blackmoor is fine at the moment. Because of his colour it was harder to look for whitespot if that's what it was that killed him. I had only had...

Does my blackmoor have white spot?

Okay, I'm really woried at the moment, I got a Blackmoor and a pearlscale yesterday. We took a sample of the water to the pet store and they tested it and said it was perfect. My tank is planted, freshwater with a good three way filter. My Blackmoor has a spot the size of a grain of salt on...

Okay so is there anything I can get that'll eat them [sob] or am I gonna have to put the cat in to fish them out? The shape of his shell is pointy, about twice as long as it is wide and he's only a couple of milimeters long. So what could he be?

Water snail, Bob the water snail

The tank is 30" x 12", I'm planning to get Blackmoors and pearlscales as well as a weather loach or two. Of course I'll get these slowly, but might start with one of each, as it should be okay, my tank having already cycled. Thanks for the advice and WATER SNAIL EGGS !!??? Prehaps it...

Water snail, Bob the water snail

Hey, I'll keep this short. I'm still waiting to get fish after taking the cat to the vets... Anyway, my tank is all set up and ready for the goldfish and I have live plants in there. I looked in just now and I have a tiny water snail in there. I didn't put him in there, so he must...

So, if not goldfish, then what?

Hey, I'm really hoping I've posted in the right place this time! My tank is:- 30" x 12" Cold, freshwater, with a biological/mechanical/chemical filter that also provides streams of bubbles. It also has about 12 live oxygenating plants. The tank is set up and ready for goldfish. A week ago...
