    mbuna compability?

Check out syndontis petricola. I believe they are from lake tang(?) But they like hard water like mbuna and they might even breed by tricking the cichlids into holding there eggs like in the wild.

Now I have my third fish pregnant in a week! This time its my rusty, and she's the only rusty. I'm gonna let nature play its course since they seem to be breeding a lot. Any idea why all of a sudden I have 3 fish holding? Only thing that changed is I added a lot of crushed coral as there was...

    pH and High Range pH

Water conditioner will not lower the ph, I think its main purpose to remove any chlorine from the tap water.

I was thinking of letting her spit in main tank, I have put fish in there that were <1inch and they made it with all the rockwork. My male bumblebee protected the female. It was amazing to watch. I even took a video. Hmm what to do. Maybe I will pull her if she is still holding after 2...

    easter maricale

Ph is important and needs to be stable. Unfortunately, there are many other factors that are just as important and can be lethal to your fish. Fish waste and uneaten food etc cause a chemical called ammonia build up. While this builds up over a week or so, a bacteria starts to form in the...

    help needed badly

Its sounds like you need to keep up on water changes. If your tank is not cycled, I doubt the fry will make it through the cycle.... even the mother... please get a Liquid Test Kit and watch your levels. We all are more than happy to help, don't let the excitement distract you from keeping...

when will my fishy give birth

Are you sure she is prego? I'm no expert on guppys, but when I accidently overfed my african cichlids they all had huge stomachs. Cichlids are mouthbrooders tho so obvi I didn't think they were prego. If its not that, experts will be here soon lol.

    Bumblebee holding, what now?

Appears she is still holding, maybe swallowed some infertile but I see something in the everynow and then that looks like an eye. Can someone explain the development of the egg so I know what I am looking for? I def don't see any eggs in there, and it is tough to find anything in there lol...

    bumble bee change colors?

Your bumblebee that didn't change or as noticible could have been a female, only the males get the darker coloring while females always retain the bumblebee look. Read up on them, pseudotropheus crabro I think.
