How often should you really feed fish?

Exactly, that's what I think of when I feed them. So when I hear about people feeding their fish 5 times a day, I instantly feel bad for the fish and think they're being overfed.

How often should you really feed fish?

I've been reading online, and a lot of people say twice a day. I've even found a lot of people saying 3-5 times a day. But then, I've also found people saying you should feed fish only once every other day. So what do you think is the proper way to feed fish and how often?

    My Fish Keep Dying

I have tried to find a better store to purchase fish, however there are absolutely none in my area. I thought I finally found one last week, but when I drove there to buy fish, it was closed down :( So I'm stuck with Petco/Petsmart fish.

    My Fish Keep Dying

I have no other fish in the tank, the glofish got it all to themselves. And I'm not sure. I've never had much luck with fish before this. Although I bought them from PetSmart, so it could be possible.

    My Fish Keep Dying

I have a 20 gallon tank, I've have it since last year and have since then fishless cycled. I test the tank water with an API Master Test Kit and the ammonia and nitrite levels stay at 0, and the nitrates are also at a good level. About three weeks ago I bought 6 glo-fish. Now I only have 2. I...

But I haven't actually heated the water yet. It was 80 when I got home and checked it. I'm thinking it's due to my tank light.

    Tank Heater Advice/Glofish

Oh, so a heater isn't really necessary for glofish?

    Tank Heater Advice/Glofish

    I've already fishless cycled. That's why I'm buying fish now. It's a 20 gallon.

    Tank Heater Advice/Glofish

In a few hours I'm going to buy glofish (at least that's my plan). I'm also going to buy a heater. I was wondering if it would be okay to start heating the water the same day I buy the fish (basically, I'll float the fish's bag as I install the heater, or I'll install the heater after I put...

    Why is this so hard?

Well if you just worry about water changes rather than cycling the tank, technically you're still cycling the tank, considering the bacteria still build up :P

    Why is this so hard?

Well, I already have posted something about him. But it's kind of too late for the fish :(
