Fixed a light switch today so now beard doesn't have to go without heat and I only need one more to start up my 5 gal plant tank.

Then this Friday im making a 3.5ftX1.5ftX1.5ft tank for le beard.

Oh I would have gone off but my lfs is alright they can get kinda uppity with trying to sell me crap I can make for half the price and they gave my tank some sort of crab looking thing that's impossible to get ride of ugh
Planaria makes my cry, as well as most other flatworms. I had a bad worm problem that I thought was Planaria but I now I think it was detritus worms. They appeared after I bought live plants from my lfs but they went away when I blasted my tank with hot water and cleaned out the filters.
I love bettas and created an account here so I had access to a large amount of information about aquariums and all things related. I plan to transform a 50 gal into a primary plant aquarium that my 4 year old betta will live in. :thanks:

now on to lights. I know about T5 lights with land plants so Im down to get those but what are some other lights I can get that are less expensive? next i will find out about ferts then on to plants. :thanks:
So what did you end up deciding on. Im in the same position financially and im looking for similar things. I was set on getting a t5 light because I know what they do to above water plants
So, I have a 50 gal that is owned by a bearded dragon but she will be moved soon into a larger tank. I would like to set up an aquarium with plants and the betta. I feel first I should find substrate, ferts, lights and then the plants so im ready for them. i would greatly appreciate some help...
