Pros: simple and concise with plenty of photographs
Cons: none worth mentioning

This book is an outstanding resource for the beginning and intermediate aquatic gardener. It is sized perfectly to go in the pocket when you visit the local fish store and has excellent photographs of almost every species you could want along with descriptive text that provides such information as habitat, native range, lighting, feeding, water, special care, etc. In addition it provides explanations of the various lighting options available and substrates that can be used. It even has a section on plants that should be avoided for one reason or another. Anyone that is considering adding plants to an aquarium for the first time should get this book. It will save them a lot of time and effort.
