Description:
|
attaches to "most" HOB filter uplift tubes and some other types of filter intake
prevents fry from getting sucked in and it prefilters
water before it enters your filter medium
also "increases" biological filtration as bacterial colonies form in the sponge
ordered this product hoping to increase the biofiltration of my tank as they claimed
they claimed that it would fit "most" of HOB filters including what i have aqueon 10
when it arrived i found out it wouldnt fit and had to run to my LFS on a snowy day to attach it to my filter uptake with silicone
very troublesome...but it works fine now
i will test my water daily to see if biological filtration has improved

Pros:
|
prefilters so the cartridges last longer, greater biofilter area
|
|
Cons:
|
i had to use silicone to make it fit to my filter
|
|
this is a must to all the HOB power filters and should be a standard
i have a very overstocked tank and a very bad filtration
this makes my filter a "better" filter
