Just in case you thought anemones were safe

Was going though some old pictures on my phone. And found this one. Just thought I'd share in case someone thinks anemones don't kill......

    Rick's 225g Build

Last week while I was cleaning my 125g tank I ended up popping the center brace of the tank. After the initial fear and anger set it, I decided it was time to upgrade. I never really liked the size of the tank (60" x 18"" x 26"). It had no depth and in order to get a decent aquascape going, I...

    Rick’s 60g Psychedelic Circus Tank

I've been wanting another aquarium for quite some time. My 12g is in the dinning room and isn't view-able from my two favorite spots; the couch or my office. I finally decided to go for it and get a 60g cube. Definitely wanted this one drilled. I went with a DIY overflow for my 125, and...

Quiet Skimmer for a 60g SW cube

Working on a new tank this week. It's a 60g cube with a custom sump. Since it's going in the living room, I need a very quiet skimmer. As much as I love my Octopus XS 200 on my 125g reef, it's a lot louder than I'd like. Just wondering if anyone has used several different types of skimmers and...

    Stomatella?

Fairly sure these are Stomatella. They came on a frag of corals I just purchased. It's my understanding that they breed pretty quickly. Just wondering if I should add them to the DT or not. I know they're pretty good algae grazers....I just don't want my tank to be full/overtaken by them.

    Black Ice or Picasso Clowns?

Just curious to see what people like more...Black Ice, or the Picassos. I'm planning on buying a pair this week. I'd just like to know if folks like one more than the other. I'm planning to breed them for fun down the road. Do you prefer one specie over the other. Colors over the other etc etc...

    Rick's 1st SW Tank - 125G Build

Hi Everyone, So I'm finally setting up my 125G tank tonight. I finally "finished" skinning the frame for my tank: After Skinning: There is still some moulding/edgework to do. This will have to wait until i buy a miter saw in the next few weeks. I really don't feel like making those cuts...

Cycling/curing a new tank with Live Rock, Base Rock, Live Sand

A little background info: Almost about to start setting up my tank. My LFS had a great deal on aragonite live sand, so i bought 160 lbs for my 125G reef i want to get going. I purchased 100 lbs of pukani rock from the BRS group buy earlier this week. I'm planning on doing a fishless cycle...
