I really like the yellow as well. Especially for close shots. The reason I chose the red for full tank shots is because everything showed up much brighter then the yellow. I really feel that in certain situations especially with the equipment I have that certain filters make all the difference...

It should really be as simple as pumping a regulated amount of water into the planter box. I wouldn't try and run it off the canister because I'm sure it's got way to much flow that you won't want to regulate if your using the canister as a filter. However the beauty of an aqua phonics system...

I like the 10-12 hour range as well. With blues coming on first either a half hour to hour before and after the white turn on/off. I've experimented with the sump light staying on 24/7 vs only being on after the DT lights are off and can definitely see a difference in which algae grew in my...
