I got home today and this was in the bottom of my tank. I hope I don't have a fish that takes that big of.... What is this anyway? EDIT: OK, I should have thought of this. This must be what algea wafers look like after sitting in water. My mistake. How do I remove a post? :?

Oh yeah, that might help. It is 55 gallons and I put the small blue pebbles that you buy in a bag at the bottom.

Is there a good website to just browse pictures of different fish. I can always search from there to get more info, but I am having a hard time deciding what to get because I don't know what will go with what, and I read about them, but would like to see pictures too.

Thanks for the advice, I will probably try and get some shrimp later today. What about the ph of 7.8? Should I try and lower it or leave it? Also, how do I find out what kind of fish I should be looking at if I leave it at a high ph?
