Scarlet badis species tank (or other ideas)

Did you put the other half of the scuds directly into the tank? And that's perfect. What size tank do you have your badis in? And how many?

Scarlet badis species tank (or other ideas)

Sounds reliable then. And that sounds pretty easy. I'll make sure to get the scud colony up and running before I get the badis!

Thank you. Would you suggest 50 or 100?

Good to know! I haven't found anywhere near me that sells scuds, unfortunately.

Scarlet badis species tank (or other ideas)

Okay yeah I have heard they can by picky eaters, so I'll definitely let the RCS start reproducing. And out of curiosity, why would you do something else in a 10 gal?

Scarlet badis species tank (or other ideas)

Okay yeah I'll have it cycling soon and then I'll introduce the badis once I have the shrimp colony up and running. I am attending college about 2.5 hours away from my home (and lfs), so I would have to wait for a break to get the badis anyways, which means I will have a RCS exclusive tank until...

Scarlet badis species tank (or other ideas)

Okay thanks Theresa. I saw your name a lot around the forum when scarlet badis were involved. Where did you purchase yours from? And I was thinking about using RCS as a food source, so that would be good. Also pretty sure I'll plant it a decent amount. How many would you suggest in a 10 gal...

Scarlet badis species tank (or other ideas)

Hello everyone. When I head off to college, I would love to have a fish tank in my room. The maximum tank size I can have is a 10gal, so that's what I'm going with. I was originally going to do something with a betta, but would prefer something else. I then thought cories but read that 10 gal...

    30 gal stocking

The barbs don't usually go long the bottom, they spend most of the time around the middle of the aquarium

    30 gal stocking

It was advertised as a 29 gal, but when I put the dimensions in, it comes out to be just above 30.1 gal. But I guess it's technically closer to a 29gal than a 30gal. And some of the smaller plants are bulbs that just started growing. I have had them in previous tanks and they have grown easily...

    30 gal stocking

Cardinal tetras were an idea I was thinking of. They are cool looking fish. Would I be able to keep those with cories as well or am I approaching over stocked?

    30 gal stocking

Yeah I thought about snails but I wanted something a little more interesting. Don't get me wrong snails are cool, just not what I was looking for. But thank you for the suggestion !

    30 gal stocking

Hello everybody! I currently have a 30 gal tropical community tank. It houses 6 kuhli loaches, 2 Bolivian rams, and 5 cherry barbs (had 6, but lost one. When I bought it from my LFS, it was bloated, but I didn't make much of it. Soon after, it died). I have a nice piece of driftwood in the tank...

    29 gal stocking (angelfish)

I have been messing around on Aquadvisor, but thought some human experience and advice would be a good idea. I always like hearing about people's experience as well. This is the tank This is the rock cave/pile the loaches spend a lot of time in These are the 2 rams (not certain about...

    29 gal stocking (angelfish)

Hello everyone, I recently stocked my 29 gal with 2 Bolivian rams, 6 cherry barbs, and 6 kuhli loaches. It has sand substrate, a nice piece of drift wood, a decent amount of rocks, and is lightly planted (I'm going to be adding more). It also obviously has a thermometer, hob filter, and light...

I actually had Eco-complete in my planted goldfish tank but I didn't have it for too long, so I never had much of a chance to see a lot of results.

How did you mix the sand and eco-complete? Just poured both into the tank and pushed it around?

    Freshwater stocking ideas

Yeah I've really only had experience with some wisteria, elodea, and java fern. And that's what I was thinking after reading your reply. I like the way fish look against black substrate. I feel like it really brings out their colors.

Then maybe I'll hold off on that one. Get some more stable plants in first
