Lathergic Goldfish Sitting on it's Face

Thank you, I think it's also helping that the water is warming up. I'll still wait until he is comfortable before I add another fish.

Lathergic Goldfish Sitting on it's Face

He was swimming fine inside the bag, but he is also starting to come out more. I think he might just be getting used to the outdoors.

Lathergic Goldfish Sitting on it's Face

I purchased a small Ryukin goldfish this friday, and ever since I bought the fish, it has spent all day at the bottom of the tank tilted slightly forward so it appears to be sitting on its face. The tank is 30-35 gallons and the params as of now are: Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 5ish The fish...

    Fluval 206 Leaking!

I am defiantly going to stick with Fluval for as long as I can because my tank is the F-90 kit, so the input and output are drilled, and I'm not sure if I could fit another canister's output and input to the bulkheads. I have also had no issues prior to this with this filter and it has made no...

    Fluval 206 Leaking!

Thanks for replying! I've been planning on replacing it soon, but my LFS is 30min away and it's hard for me to get a drive unless my parents are driving there anyway.

    Fluval 206 Leaking!

Thanks for replying! I have all ready replaced the gasket, but now I believe that all of the leaking is caused by the valve and it has been leaking in between the panels of the top of the filter and then exiting from beneath the handle.

    Fluval 206 Leaking!

I've had my Fluval 206 for around 6-7 months now, and on Monday night it leaked across the floor. I have since then replaced the gasket on the filter and now it will only leak if I do not limit the flow with the valve (Aqua Stop?) that leads to the aquarium. When I don't limit it, it appears to...

    Freshwater plant selection help wanted

Ok, thank you I'll stay away from dwarf hair grass. The light that came with the kit seems to produce excessive amounts of light (35 watts). Would this be a problem for any of the plant species? Ones that require lower lighting maybe? My tank is only 17 inches deep, so will a 35 watt light be...

    Freshwater plant selection help wanted

Thanks for the reply, Floating plants are a good idea, but the aquatic plants selection in my area is very limited, so I was hoping to get something common like dwarf hair grass or java moss because thats what I can expect from my local fish store. Is there any submerged plants that you would...

    Freshwater plant selection help wanted

I just finished cycling my tank in mid July, and I and just endured an algae bloom. I was doing daily 30% water changes for the last 5 days (including today) and its pretty well cleared up. Now I'm wondering if I could get some plants in order to hinder the algae in its growth. I know there...
