New 12 gallon tank, when should I add fish?

I would also recommend using some kind of "quick" start. It will help add beneficial bacteria to speed up the nitrogen cycle. It's not normally recommended, but if time is a constraint, it will only help to keep your little guys alive. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    DIY Slate Background Crisis

That sucks, but I'd have to agree with the post above, more than likely it's due to chemicals on one of the objects (if not all) that you put in your tank. I think I saw somewhere that if you poor vinegar on it, and it bubbles, then it's not fish safe?? Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

I originally joined this forum because i was just interested in aquariums (new to the hobby). I have already had my 5 gallon nano tank setup for a few months and have already begun planning my "bigger and better" tank. It all began as an aquarium with big and bright, colorful fish... It was a...

    WOW! What a DEAL!

Let me clarify, if money were no issue for you, and you were looking for a clean, used, 72 gallon custom tank and stand, what would you be willing to pay? $100, $200?

To saltwater or not to saltwater...

That is the question... I've had a nano 5g freshwater aquarium for a few months now and have bitten... So now I am the proud owner of a 70g aquarium (previously used for saltwater), and I am torn... To saltwater or not?? I know that I am a "novice" to this hobby, and if popular opinion...

    70G tank upgrade

Hey folks, so I am upgrading from a nano-5G to a 70G; 60"x12"x24". THIS THING IS MASSIVE compared to my 5g and in soo excited! But before I get ahead of myself (something that frequently happens), I have some questions. I'm relatively new to the hobby and I'm pretty sure this 70g is going...
