    My daughter wants to get rid of her betta. I have 55 gallon planted community tank. I do have angels and 2 balas and 1 redtail, amongst other fish. Am I right in thinking the male betta cannot go in this tank?

    Thanx for advice. Question about fruit. Do they need blanched like veggies? I know strawberries are prob. soft enough, but what about apples, etc.? and onions, really?....lol. Never would have guessed.

    Thanx, I will try the salt and boiling water technique as well as cleaning with sponge. Is it just regular iodized salt not aquarium salt and do i need a lot of it. i soaked my driftwood before but never used salt.

    Put walmart brand of scotch brite filter in myHOB filter. dont know if chemicals are in it. i rinsed really good and then boiled in water for about 20 min. then soaked for 15 min. i also put bag of carbon in front of them. fish seem fine. do i have anything to worry about?
