    PC Lighting v. VHO Lighting

I currently have a 6x65w PC light (390w total) on my 90 gal tank (48x18x24). I have a cousin that said that he will sell me his 4x110w DIY VHO Retrofit kit (440w total) for $100. He only used them for a few weeks. The kit has 2 10K and 2 URI Super Acintics bulbs. Would you upgrade to the...

    Seio m1500

Ray, I guess that it worked. When I took it apart, I didn't notice anything wrong it. I haven't seen it do that again. I'm heading out of town for the Memorial weekend. But I do want you to come by and give me your opinions. I'll give you a call when I get back in town. Mike

    Just QT'd My New Corals

Yeah, I have read articles and message board post stating that QTing them is a must. So, I just assumed that most people did. I have a 46 gal QT tank. I have never used any medications in this tank. I was only planning on leaving them in the QT for about a week. Probably less now, since a...

    Just QT'd My New Corals

I really don't want to have to QT them but I thought that is what I was supposed to do. Any other opinions? Should I QT corals? Mike

    Just QT'd My New Corals

I thought that everything needs to be Qt'd. I have read that on this and other message boards that fish, inverts and corals should be put in a QT. They say there is a chance that parasites can be introduced via corals into your display tank. Because of that, I put them in a QT. Is that not...

    Just QT'd My New Corals

Unfortunately, I can't. I need a new digital camera. I did expect to see a larger group of the yellow colony polyps. Overall, I guess I'm happy with them.

    Just QT'd My New Corals

I just received my Beginner Coral Pack from LiveAquaria and placed them in my QT. The pack includes: a Green Button Polyp, a Yellow Colony Polyp, a Hairy Mushroom and a Bullseye mushroom. I'm familiar with the length of time that you should QT fish but I'm not sure how long I should QT corals...

Coral Shipment - Grounded by FedEx

Update: The corals finally arrived today. It looks like only the Button Polyp survived the transport. The water in the other 3 coral bags leaked out. I knew immediately that at least 1 bag was leaking because the box was soaking wet. Anyway, I spoke to LiveAquaria's customer service and...

    Seio m1500

I just purchased a Seio m1500 and placed it in my tank. Every so often, the pump will make this grinding type noise and then spit out a ton of micro-bubbles into the tank. Does anyone know why this is happening? Is the pump defective? Thanks!
