    All my fish died!!!

If indeed it was some chemical poisoning from the brand new filter, should I empty the entire tank and remove this filter? Can you have too much filtration? I now have 2 Fluval 70s in a 46g bow front because it appeared I had dead zones is why I bought a 2nd one. I also have a bubbler which...

    All my fish died!!!

I'll have to buy one to see. That wouldn't really explain the 48 hours of the fish losing color and eyes going cloudy though. I'm wondering if it was the new filter. I rinsed it but should I have washed it with something? I rinsed the sponge etc and filled with de chlorinated water

    Just got fish!

Okay so I've been cycling my tank (fishless) and just put fish in yesterday. I don't see some of the ground dwellers, but I have a lot of hiding spots so I hope they are alive ( 2 dwarf African frogs, 4 red cherry shrimp). My ammonia is 0.25 ppm, nitrite 0ppm, nitrate 5.0ppm. Is this...

    Fishless cycling help

I've been cycling my tank since August 5th. I measure daily with API master test kit. I cannot get nitrites!!!! My ammonia is at 2.0, ( added ammonia yesterday) and my nitrites are at zero as well as nitrates. Why isn't it converting? I used dr tims one & only & their ammonia drops.

    Hello! Newbie here!

Here is the water in my fishless cycling I was speaking of in my earlier post. Notice water looks clear under LEDs, clear under moon light, but cloudy under acnitic light. Wasn't like this at the beginning......

    Newbie fishless cycling

The Process: Day 1 – dose ammonia to 2 ppm ammonia-nitrogen [NH3-N] using our ammonium chloride (1 drop per gallon) [NOTE: do not expect your test kit to exactly read 2 ppm and it is not critical to get exactly 2 ppm. The key is to not add too much ammonia]. If using DrTim’s Aquatics One &...

Odd thing is when I set up my tank ( before putting anything in except dechlorinator, my water was clear with my LED lights as well as acnitic. Now the water still looks fabulously clear with my LED but hazy with the acnitic

    Hello! Newbie here!

I'm going to get a few glofish for my grandson to mix with other tetras etc so I wanted an acnitic light. Before I started the fishless cycling it looked crystal clear
