Well I'll update - I decided I could put even a five gallon on a solid wood cart I have - my new problem is that there is a washing machine in the room and when I press on the surface of the cart I do feel slight vibrations. I planned to purchase a 1.5 gallon glass tank and put it on my wrought Iron plant stand - I forgot that water actually is quite heavy and now I'm not so sure that would be safe...so then I thought I'd upgrade to a 3 or 5 gallon tank and get a stand for it (as there is no free surface to put it...- vi_lontano
