Here is the dimension of the tank. so could someone please let me know how many gallons

I had bought a corner tank from our lfs last weekend and the salesperson that deals with the used tanks said that this tank is between a 60 and 70 gl. How can I figure out the gallons on it so I can determine how much sand, rock and etc I will need for it. Thank you for any input on this.

cabezon, thanks I don't touch my rings either, as for the filters, they will be rinsed over and over until the are falling apart. I don't use filter floss at all. As for the decholr I don't use that either as we have well water and should not have chlorine in it.

WhiteDevil, I did some tests tonight and if I was to mix half tap and half RO then I can get the GH to change with 2 drops and the KH with 3 drops, and the PH down to 7.5 ppm So now my question is how much of a water change should I do at a time to get my GH KH and PH within limits or should I...

Using the nutrafin test for the GH it took 45 drops for the kh it took 15 drops ph is at 8.5 I know the only way to pring this down is by useing part tap and part RO water, so not to drop the PH to low.

Mommytron and BigJim, Thxs for that. As for the parameters are nitrites never fall below 5.0, so how could I get this down to 0, w/o having to mix R/o and tap together to get this.

Just bought test kits for PO4 and KH. PO4 = 0 KH = which is the nutrafin brand it took 14 drops to get from blue to green/lime color PH = 8 which I no is real high NH = 0 no3 = 5.0 no2 = 0 so how would I figure the co2 with the ph and kh results?

logansmomma, the t5 bulbs are even avilable at petsmart or possibly even your local fs. While reading the link that you sent, it seems that my nitrate is to low (5ppm) and it needs to be around 15 but then the phosphate needs to be at (1ppm) not sure where this is at but will get a test kit...

logansmom, I have not seen any unusal snails. As you can see the pull at some of the plants but then the ludwig the have stripped all but the top leaves off it. The last pic they have pulled it from the log.
