    What kind of algae

I tested phosphates, but they kept reading low b/c the hair algae used them up. I used phosphateRx and put a sea hare in to clean up. I’m monitoring to make sure they don’t go up, but my tank is spotless for now. I’ve also started dosing vibrant

    Finnex Planted+ 24/7

I agree. I've got 2 amanos in my tank, too. Busy eating all the time.

    Finnex Planted+ 24/7

Algae will happen. I'm overrun with snails, but I just leave them. I have a couple off assassin snails in mine to help keep them under control, but I just let them go. I need them moving my soul around anyway.

That's a lot of ammonia to have fish. Anything over 0 is bad. Add prime if you have it. It's supposed to detoxify ammonia and nitrite. There are also filter media options that are supposed to absorb ammonia from the water column. I know Fluval makes one. I agree water changes are a big part...

    Finnex Planted+ 24/7

I have it on a 10 gallon. It's been on there for maybe a year and it's been on the 24/7 mode since day 1. It's been amazing for my project.

    Question - Just for Fun

Since I posted the question, I will put in my 2 cents. My favorite tank is a planted Walstead shrimp tank. Love that one. There are 2 I'd really love to try. 1 is a brackish tank to see if I could get Nerite snails or Amano shrimp to breed. The other is a goldfish tank. I've tried so many...

Look on Facebook for Cichlid and aquarium groups in your area. People are selling tons of things in my area right now to pay for Christmas expenses.

With a tank that size, there are a lot of choices. I really love haps and peacocks. Lots of colors and lots of sizes. I've also always wanted a pair of red terrors. I think those fish are beautiful. You could put a ton of mbuna in there, but mbuna are always just a little crazy for my tastes.

I've never kept Tanganyikans, but I've wanted to. What kind of "personality" do you want? Fast fish, slow fish, big, little, a lot, a few?

    Question - Just for Fun

Take a minute to answer one or both of these questions. 1. Of all the aquariums you've done, which was your favorite? 2. For those who have "done it all," what is the one think you haven't tried, but really want to?

Very nice. Love the driftwood on the right. Id make sure there is plenty of room between the glass and the decor for your hand. Helps down the road with maintenance. What kinds of cichlids you planning for?

    Endlers Fry

Seems like brine shrimp would be the easiest to keep. What is the best way to start them, though?

    Endlers Fry

Can you hatch the "sea monkeys" brine shrimp and feed those?

    Endlers Fry

All my Endlers young are females. Is this normal? There are several that aren't large enough to sex, but so far they are all growing into females!

    Aquarium filters

I love the aquaclears, too. Lot of bang for your buck with these little HOB filters. Looks like other manufacturers are beginning to use this idea of canister-type media in a HOB. I wonder if this trend will result in fewer small to medium canisters in the long run.

What plants are good for aquarium, fresh water?

Algae? Did you men angels? What kind of sharks?

    Cichlids or semi-aggressive

No, I'm suggesting different options. I wouldn't put them together. Do you take med's? I think you missed a dose.

    Cichlids or semi-aggressive

Never kept frontosas. Never had the right tank. The research I have done would suggest a 125 is, at best, bare min for keeping them. Now, are you always such a d-bag?

    Cichlids or semi-aggressive

What is wrong with you? First, I didn't pull this directly off of any random website, though the same info might be found on a website. Second, are you suggesting that researching information online is ill-advised? People are told to research all the time, and that's what I encouraged. I...
