I will keep it updated. The pygmy sunfish didnt make it sadly. I think I'll get a 10 gallon and try to build a better environment for them. I also have no live food culture so I couldn't feed them but I don't think thats what killed them. Cool idea on pads, I need more substrate to plant...

New finds! Collected four Okeefenokee pygmy sunfish, 2 new bluespotted sunfish, a tadpole madtom, blackbanded darter, and a swamp darter! All from the little Econ river. Theyre in quarentine for now. Super excited about these finds!

I found a second bluespotted which I think is a male! He was in quarentine for a week and has been in my main tank for two days now. The new one is much smaller and the bogger one shows a tad of aggression. Most of the plants I collected didnt make it through the cleaning process but I have some...

Okay so it's been forever, not sure if I should start a new thread but yesterday I finally found a bluespotted sunfish to put in my tank. I found her (I'm pretty sure it's a female) last night while netting for grass shrimp in a ditch behind where I live. I accimated her for 4 hours and she's...

I'm not sure if anyone is still following this but I'm still working on this tank. I need help sinking my wood, I also need help collecting plants. I've found plants I want in my tank but im not sure how to rid them of critters and algea that might spread into my tank. I live in an apartment so...

Finally got around to boiling my wood. I boiled the first of two for hours at every angle. It's now floating in my tank barkless. I'm assuming it will get waterlogged and sink soon enough. The water is beginning to get a bit murky again. I assume its the leftover tannins from the wood. I also...

It was just the head and was right next to the trash receptacles for my unit. There's one at every door, a little wooden box. Anyhow I've contacted the front office and I'm trying to work it out... Lesson learned.

Sand rocks and shells I collected and cleaned. There's a pic of the tank back in the thread. I wish I had a porch! I've been doing this from an apartment with no porch sadly. Also the trash people just took my net because I left it outside my door and passed out... There goes 80$ and my life...

Brand new Aqueon Quietflow 75 LED Pro not working

Hey guys! I bought this filter some months ago and just got around to filling my tank and of course it doesn't work. Its not up taking water and its making a very loud noise. I've looked up the problem and the general response is to clean the impeller. I did this and reinserted it and nothing...

With my substrate cleaned and my python no spill arriving I decided to finally fill my tank. Well guess what my aqueon quietflow 75 isn't working properly. Its making a loud noise and not taking up any water. I looked it up online and it said to clean the uptake mechanism. I did that and no...

Wow I just looked that word up. That seems to be exactly what I want to do. I don't want any old tank, I want this to be somewhat a window into Florida's freshwater. The problem is I know basically nothing and will settle for nothing less.? on the bright side, I just got a job so I'll be able to...
