I don't know anything about the bicher, but I have a ropefish, shes in a 55 and only about 4.5-5 inches long. Its a good size for them, they grow slowly about an inch per year I've heard. Be prepared for you not to see it/them very often. Most of the time mine hides and I won't see it for weeks...

I have fake plants in my 55 gallon and each time I do a PWC I have to take them out and clean them off with a toothbrush to get the alge off and it just takes forever and it doesn't completely come off, is there a better way to do this?

But what do you do when cleaning it with a syphon for PWCs?

How do people have gravel of one color in their tank then its like a pathway of another color? Can someone explain how they keep the colors from mixing so it looks nice?
