    Yes Fiji Live sand is probably the most popular and widely available. I have about 80lbs in my 55Gal Reef.

    I have a coralife unit, the one that was mentioned above, I haven't had any problems, although I may mod it to add another 175W MH to it for my corals :)

    Im very curious to meet this "fishguy". We have a local LFS here, sometimes I ask "dummy" questions to see how much they know, if I followed their advice, I would have to get a HAZMAT team out to my house ASAP. Stick with AA or reefcentral for advice

    These ebay filters are fine, however the membrane of choice is Real FilmTec (TFC) membranes not just DOW material but the actual Dow Product. A lot of ebay RO/DI have DOW filmtec look-a-likes, which they will work great for a little while then they will start going hay-wire. I bought a eBay...

    Remora is a good choice, Deltec is a good choice (however $200 of the $500 price is going for the brand name) Coralife super skimmer is also a good choice.
