    Sump Return Plumbing Question

I'm working on setting up my first system with a sump and I'm having some difficulties with the return. My main tank is a 75 Gal with a drilled overflow on the back of the tank. I have the overflow working fine with a 1 1/2" drain that's running into a 30 gallon tank. My LFS recommended a 950...

Snail With Growth On Its Back... Photo

It's solid and I haven't noticed it move in the last week. It can't be removed with gentle pressure. Steve-S, someone else in another forum also mentioned that it's likely a limpet. Can you provide a description on what limpets are or even provide a link? Thanks for your input everyone.

I have just brought home some snails from my LFS and I've noticed that one of them has an odd bump/growth on the top of it's shell. Can anyone identify what this may be? Thanks in advance!

Tank Cycled.. How to get rid of Nitrate's?

You can purchase a "TDS Meter" from ebay. TDS meter's will measure the amount of "Total Disolved Solids" in your water. The tap water where I live has a TDS reading of 170ppm. When I run it through the RO filter it goes to about 30ppm. After the RO/DI it drops to about 10ppm.
