    Least Aggressive Trigger?

I would go with a Niger trigger. I did have a Bursa trigger at one point and ended up taking him back after three months because he was just causing too many problems. The Niger is much more laid back and really doesn't bother anyone unless they bother him first.

FS: JBJ Arctica 1/5 hp chiller

Unit is five months old and works perfect. It's just a little too small for my 110 gallon tank now that summer is here. I would like to upgrade to the 1/4 hp unit if possible. There is still about 16 months remaining on the warranty. I prefer local pickup but have original box for shipping. $450...

    Ich and Coppersafe

Well I finally got the refractometer on Friday. During the past three days I finally got the salinity down to 14 ppt. It's amazing how much water I had to change. It seems my old SG meter was off by 3-4 points. So in reality my water was still at .020 before I did the major water change just...

    Aeration question...

Hmmm, so maybe bubbles aren't a good idea then as far as the fishes health is concerned. That's why I thought I'd ask and get some reliable feedback. Thanks! -Danton

    Aeration question...

Is there any downside to putting an airstone in a saltwater tank? One person has told me that those tiny bubbles cause problems for the fish. I would like to add one airstone with a battery backup air pump for when the power goes out. It has twice now in the last three months for 2.5 hours. Not...

    Ich and Coppersafe

Yes I'm aware that ich returns 10x worse that is why I have Coppersafe in there for the moment. To kill it in the free swimming stage. The test kit I used is for chelated copper also. It's just not made to go as high as 15ppm so you have to dilute the solution which does confuse me... As stated...

    Ich and Coppersafe

Yes, I'm keeping an eye on that. It's currently at 8.2 and I have some buffer for when I do the hypo. Thanks for the heads up anyway. Regards, Danton

    Ich and Coppersafe

I went with the copper because I had a Rock Beauty Angel that came down with ich really quick and I figured copper would work faster then hypo. The angel did die as I was too late anyway. I dropped the salinity as far as I could feeling safe knowing that the my SG meter is not that accurate. I...

    Ich and Coppersafe

Hi, Newbie here. I have a 110 gallon tank that I'm treating for ich. No live rock or any inverts. 1 3" Bi-color Angel, 1 4" White Spotted Grouper, 1 3" Bursa Trigger, 1 12" Snowflake Eel and 4 damsels. All water parameters are perfect. Temp has been raised from 78' to 80.5' and specific gravity...
