plz help ever since I got a new light on my 100gallon it really has increased the algae growth! I have never had this problem.

I just got my new AI light! Was wondering how to set it. Simply bc I don’t know much about uv, violet, blues,and reds. These settings are really new to me. I have my old light set to 8 hours of day light a day. 10am- 6pm.

So I set up my new 300 gallon with two separate sumps (same configuration on both sides) and got everything hooked up. Only to turn on and find out that my protein skimmer isn’t working right. Plz any help would be greatful!
