What kinds of fish can be kept safely with shrimp. I was gifted 6 small tiny red shrimp, and I love them! I currently have 6 neon tetras 3 honey gouramies one bn pleco and one turquoise rainbow( I figure he needs to go ). Oh I have a 75 gal planted tank and I want lots of shrimp.

I picked up 2 angel fish today along with 2 bn plecos,. I am waiting on my fish store to get some apistogramas for me he said he should have some in a few days. Will the Angel fish get along with the apistos?

you should be ok if you kept the filter media, just watch your water parameters.

With this tank being New and sounds not to be quite cycled yet, I would see if you can get your hands on some filter media from an established tank ASAP to put in your filter to help get some benificial bacteria going. You will probably have to do water changes daily for a bit. I would suggest...

The weird thing is it turned red... I have had this one and about 3 or 4 of them for about 5 or 6 years. Why did he turn red or is that normal.

Sounds like the temperature of the water may have been to high, causing a lack of oxygen. Make sure your heater is working correctly and that there is enough movement in the water if your temps are higher than usual.

Aw hat kind of lighting ,co2 are you using? I really like the red plants and the purple sword! Not sure if I could keep them though with just excel and flourish plus root tabs.
