    OB cichlid looking bloated

Thank you everyone for your replies. What ever the back-up was, it was passed. Her stomach looks normal again but she still won’t eat. I just pulled her out and quarantined her. I also checked the water and everything looks good but the ph is low... not sure what cases that? But I bought API...

    OB cichlid looking bloated

Hello everybody! Hope everyone is doing well!! So, I have this calico cichlid that’s looking oddly puffy. He’s always kind of been a corner dweller but lately he won’t eat and his stomach is looking bloated. The last time I saw it eat was two days ago. I took the filter out to clean it and some...

That's what I'm hoping. I've had him for a little more than two month and he's always seemed healthy. Thanks!

    Kenyi's stomach sinking

Hello, everyone! So I have this Kenyi African cichlid who's stomach started sinking. A little background; About two weeks ago, I put him, and two other Africans I have, into a new cycled 55 gallon tank. He was king of the other two in the 20 long. But, once he was placed in the 55, all he did...

Not sure if Hole in head or TB...

It passed about an hour after I posted. I took him to the LFS and got a refund. Most the tanks running off that filtration system had a bacterial infection.

Not sure if Hole in head or TB...

So this is the Borleyi now... he's still alive, barley swimming and yes he's upside down. I also tried treating for a fungus and it didn't help. I don't want to see him like this and I know there's nothing I can do at this point but what should I do about my other fish?

Not sure if Hole in head or TB...

The borleyi is really skittish. He gets picked on by a 1.5in peacock and he's almost 3in himself. I was also pretty luck to get those pics. I'm hoping he's just weird.

Not sure if Hole in head or TB...

That's really good to know! I think I'm just being nervous. He has some small spots where scales are loosing color but he eats just fine and has normal shape. I wasn't aware of sensory pits, I've never seen them on my other fish though. Thank you very much!

    Cleaning Crew for Betta tank

Honestly adding anything live to a small tank with a betta is going to increase your bio load. If your betta is creating too much waste, you need to cut back on feeding it. If tank mates are your goal then you'll need a bigger tank and if you just want to lower nitrates you can add some live plants.

    Cleaning Crew for Betta tank

If you have a ten gallon you can try a clown pleco. They only get around 4.5in and they can hold their own

Not sure if Hole in head or TB...

This is my first post, so hello everyone! I have some concern about some fish I just bought from a local vendor that I have bought from before and had complications. I bought a electric blue jack about 3 month back that had hole in head. He was my first cichlid so I didn't know what to look for...
