I have five angels with two that seem to have paired off can anyone tell me when gender this angelfish is? Thank you in advance. There are two different fish in the pics below those are the ones that I think have paired.
I recently ordered a dried daphnia egg pack from Carolina biological and it said it will come with triops, daphnia and fairy shrimp and if anyone has an idea please post. If this is a daphnia I am going to culture it for my angels to eat.
I would get plants from petco or pets mart and you will get a bloom of snails. If that's not what you are going for, go for an assasin snail they will eat the snails smaller than it (pest snails) and leave the bigger ones alone.
I would pull the few Daphnis out and breed them and then try again once you have a stable source of them because if you don't one shot and you won't have any more daphnia.
Soak in dechlorinated water for 24 hours and then take them and put the plants in (obviously don't dump the water in) if you do end up getting snails on accident, I know it counterproductive but put an assasin snail in they are awesome and will get rid of snails within a week.
Danios if your not doing any other fish because they can become kind of aggressive, also ember tetras school very nicely and are peaceful, when you walk to one side of the tank they follow in a school.
