I am fascinated by rare, wild South American characins (although I do have an African species as well, Phenacogrammus aurantiacus) and have been slowly adding varieties to my tanks. My next project is this amazingly colored, nano species called : Tucanoichthys tucano.

Besides discus, tetras are my favorite fish. Especially rare and wild ones. I would love to see what kinds of tetras others have. Here are a few of mine:
Wild Phenacogrammus aurantiacus "Lamp-Eye Tetra"
Wild Hyphessobrycon pulchripinnis "Orange Lemon Tetra"
Wild Hyphessobrycon sp. "Peru"...

New here, but, not new to fishkeeping. Been keeping fish for 28 years. The last 15 years have mainly raised discus, but recently become interested in raising wild tetras and Geophagus. ?
