    I'm in a bit of a jam...

Everyone seems to be doing great and swimming around happily. I'm going to be adding about 20 - 30 plants tomorrow, so that should definately help resolve any oxygen issues.

    Daily Fluctuation of Water Temps

From my experience anything below a 10% change it doesn't amtter at all the tempurature difference (within reason). I usually do a 20 - 30% change in my 70 and the temp stays virtually the same, even thoghut the water running in to it is a few degrees warmer or colder. You shouldn't have any...

    Stocking question

Yeah, I got the yellow lab from a friend who enlisted in the Marines last year, figured I'd at least give it a good home, even if only temporarily. I don't really know anything about cichlids. I'm not sure if my LFS will take him off my hands, however. *EDIT* Actually, come to think of it I...

    Is this normal?

Sweet, I'm a bit over-concerned after what happened on Wednesday night. Thanks for the help :D .

    Stocking question

Well, as of Wednesday, I now have three residents in my 70 gallon tank: A red-tailed black shark, clown loach, and a yellow lab... I've had them all for around a year or so now, they've been doing great. Wednesday, my Raphael cat passed on (poor guy been there since the start), and I've been...

    Is this normal?

Well, after that little CO2 or whatever it was fiasco, my tank was back to normal after a few hours. Everyone was happy, even my clown loach was swimming about. So I went to sleep. The next morning, when the lights came on I noticed ALL of my fish had a huge drop in color, namely My red-tailed...

    I'm in a bit of a jam...

That's exactly what they were doing, actually. Either way, it's fixed now, and everything is back to normal. I'm sorry for not posting the water parameters, I was too focused in trying to save my fish in whatever way I could. It's a 70 gallon tank, it was lightly planted, although I changed...

    advice for ebay

Well, I wouldn't say this guy is a bad seller, but if you buy a plant from Singapore, you had better get the fastest shipping you can if you want that plant to come to you alive. Most of the plants I've bought online don't last much longer than 3 days in a package.

    I'm in a bit of a jam...

Yeah, that was the first thing I did. And, I forgot to mention this, but the fish (before the water change) were up at the surface of the tank, including my pleco, which is why I initially thought it had somethnig to do with the O2/CO2 saturation fo the tank.

    I'm in a bit of a jam...

Yeah, I did. Everything seems to be in the norm; nitrate, nitrite, and ammonia are all low, pH is fine (6.8ish), water is soft (as it has been for almost a year now), that's why I'm assuming oxygen. That's also why I'm asking advice, hehe. The reason I think it might be oxygen deprevation is I...

    I'm in a bit of a jam...

Well, I really have no idea how this happened, and I'll figure that out later once my fish are safe. But for now my fish are breathing extremely hard, and I'm assuming they can't get enough oxygen. So far I did a 40% water change, and I rigged up a 15 gal air pump to put in some extra O2. I ran...
