Just an update went to vet no reason other than to check up make ... he is in great health not sick or weak at all and even got him sexed as male while there only thing vet told me todo was make wider variety in diet which I’m workin on but I’m findin hard rn since only thing will eat is romaine

Planned on it for sure was hoping for second opinion on shell on here

His burrow spot is at 80 in temp and jus above 30 in humidity

Thx for Mellon tip and I have a baskin spot that reaches 93 and on the cool side on the tank it’s 75 avg the humidity is at approx 40 no matter the location with it closer 35 or lower at the basking spot I use 160watt all in one heat uva and uvb bulbs ... 12 on 12 off I don’t want to hibernate...

He doesn’t seem to eating much of anything and I think he’s trying to hibernate if he is what do I do if I don’t do that I just got him and I understand it can do more harm if not done right so I don’t want to risk it

To keep this simple iv got a Russian tortoise had him overnight now this morning I noticed his tank temp was round 60 ... ideal is 68-80 with a hot spot that can hit upto 100 iv done done this with lights on but at night lights off my temperature drops so how do I maintain of 70 for him at night...

4ft by 2ft I got 75 pounds of sand now and I feel like that’s enough

Was readin back of my sand bag b4 I left it said something like 1 pound per 1 gallon of water for like a 2 inch layer so my tank wood need like 100 pounds (100gal tank) of sand to get 2 inch layer???? Does this sound right? ... I’m only able to get like 60 - 75 pounds today either way
