    weird bala behavior

    Balas need at least one other bala. They are a schooling fish that need other balas to feel comfterbul. Also IMHO a 29 gal. is to small for a bala, I would look into a 75-125 gal. for them. (or you could trade him in b/c they do get very large 8-12")

    I'm sorry I should of been clearer, it isn't my pond its one of my moms freinds. I have a pond though, its a 300 gal. (to small for the cat anyway) I just don't have the funds to set it up yet.

    Hello I'm the brother, thanks for all the feed back. He has pellets that he gets in the morning and night w/ worms and crickets for dessert. I just did a 50% pwc. (can't do any more the hot water heater is only so big will do another tomarow) I will raise the temp. up to 82-83 thanks all...

    Weasel F.- I will have all the cichlids I want with the rams. :wink: JustOneMore20-I think i'll take your advice. :) Jchillin-I can't stand plecos, they are just SO UGLY, I can't stand them! :wink: Do you know of any plants from S/A? Thanks all :D

    For reference I have 2 balas in my 180 and they are both 7+ inches. Maybe 2 guppys (both males) and 4-6 neons?

    S/A Bio-type

    Hello I've been looking into redoing my 29 community into a S/A bio-type. I have come up with, 2 rams, 12 rummy nose tetras, 4 corys, and 1 farlowella (aka twig cat). I would appreciate suggestions for other fish/plants/inverts. Please keep in mind I want it to be a S/A bio-type. Thanks...

    I don't think the shrimp pose much of a threat to the guppys.

    Hi all

    Hi every one, my name is bert12 and I like this site quite lot. I currently have 1x 75 community, 1x 29 community(soon to be south amarican bio-type) 1x 180 1x Oscar,1x albino Polypterus senegalus, 1x Synodontis eupterus, 2x bala sharks, 1x channel cat (going to a pond soon). :)
