    I have otocinclus fry...

Since the Spring, my five otocinclus in a 10-gallon species tank have been laying eggs that have hatched. I have no idea how or why this has been happening. In the beginning, I tried to feed the fry with vegetables, spirulina, and pulverized shrimp pellets. None of them were interested or...

    Catfish and Substrate

Thanks I was hoping for either Longfin Pandas or Sterbais. It's a 29-gallon tank with Nature's Ocean Aquarium Sand - Activ-Flora Planted Substrate Flora-CORE RED. Here's a pic:

    Catfish and Substrate

I've used Nature's Ocean Aquarium Sand in a new tank. It isn't sand but a gravel substrate with what appear to be sharp edges. I'd like to have a scavenger to clean it when I stock the tank. I was hoping to have catfish but I'm uncertain if the substrate is too rough for them. Any...

    Is my betta sick?

So far he isn't showing any other signs. I've added Stress Guard so he can stay in his divided tank with the shrimp and snails on the other side.

    Is my betta sick?

The only thing he may have bumped into is his feeding ring. He gets excited when I feed him sometimes and moves the ring a bit. Do you think something like Seachem Stress Guard would work? Or aquarium salt?

    Is my betta sick?

In the picture it looks whitish/yellow. In reality it's more grey.

    Is my betta sick?

His fins aren't clamped and I haven't noticed him around the heater. I've been using a feeding ring for six months with him and he has bumped into it at times. What do you suggest? And thank you !

    Is my betta sick?

Info Charlie is in half of a 10-gallon tank with happy neocaridinas on the other side. He has a 25-30% water change (and gravel vac) every four or five days. The water tests 6.8 pH, 0 ppm Ammonia, 0 ppm Nitrite, and about 5.0 ppm Nitrate. He's fed twice a day what he can eat in 10 minutes...

    Is Charlie Betta sick?

Yesterday I noticed a spot above Charlie's eye. It's still there today. Maybe it's just me but I felt like he wasn't very excited about his food this morning and he seems to be less active than usual. Does anyone know what this spot may be? Should I be worried? Should I treat it? Please...

What Did You do With Your Tank Today?

I'm relatively new to Bettas and have looked at the fish from Thailand. I wonder if shipping caused him to lose his color? Maybe after a few days he'll be blue again? I'd like to know what happens . . .

    Plant Lighting

I'm just starting back into aquariums. I have one planted tank with a Finnex Planted+ fixture and use Seachem Fundamentals and Root Tabs. The plants are flourishing (of course) ! Now I have a 5.5 gal for new fish before I introduce them to the larger tank. It came with a very low light but...

Water Change Did a 25% water change. Now I'm dealing with a higher pH. Strange because my water doesn't test high . . .

Which LED Light Fixture is Better for Live Plants?

I looked at Beamswork when I set up my last tank. I decided to go with Finnex FugeRay Planted+ and I couldn't be happier. The plants are beautiful and the root systems, after three months, are phenomenal.
