Here is a picture of what I am dealing with as far as algae goes. There are also bubbles coming up from the sand bed during the day when the lights are on. I take it, that would be due to the algae growing there too. All of these problems have started after the new lighting was installed...

What size tank are those puffers in? I guess my real question is: Is a 55 goiing to be too small for the puffer (e.g. valentini puffer)? Don't want him to be cramped.

Looks as though my sand sifting star has died. It lost an arm and thendidn't move for 2 days. They center seems to be being eating up. I took it out and it smells pretty bad so I figure it died. I just want to make sure I don't have major problems with my tank. The damsels are fine it seems.
