Thanks for the info, the picture was taken within minutes of it dying.. had to zoom in on the photo to actually see them. They were not noticeable in the tank. I wasnt sure if this was just part of its color or not. I will look up black spot disease. Hope it is curable bexause I have others not...

I have looked at Neon Tetra disease and it isn't that...she didn't have any lesions and she is the first and only fish I have lost so far...no dead fish bodies in the tank for her to have eaten.

Thanks, I managed to get the last bottle of Metroplex in Napanee. Treating the water in a hospital tank with 4 fish who have stopped eating and poo long white strings. Hope it works for whatever ails them.
My male bosemani thinks it is female.. he colors up and hugs right tight to it.. that was why I was questioning its gender. I thought it was male too. I guess my bosemani knows best or is sexually confused. Lol
Just an update, the tank has cleared and we have put 4 fish in a hospital tank for observation because they stopped eating and had long white stringy poo. Treating the water with Metroplex.. fingers crossed.. hope it works. Tha ks again everyone for the advice.
