That was when they were new.. nowadays these guys as well as Red Parrots/Blood Parrots whatever as as fertile as any fish from what I see.

They do get aggressive but that's typical for a Cichlid. They won't murder everything though.. well at least that I've seen.

There are different "collection" points that HRPs come from so depending on strain some have more or less black/ striping.

I used to keep these guys about 10 years ago.. I had a line going for like 7 years. They were breeding like a power blue form.. until that bank's heater died and so did the last of them [emoji25]

I spy with my little eye.. I recently received a group of Honduran Redpoint Cichlids. Out of the bunch, one set were clearly starting to mature so I separated and a few days later I have eggs! They are wiggles now. I'll update as soon as they start swimming.
