    Question on Aquarium Filtration

Ok thanks! Looks like the total GPH is about 1350 GPH. If that's accurate, should be good I think! Thanks for your help!

    Question on Aquarium Filtration

Hello guys! :D I've been keeping fish for 4 years and just recently got my first mega tank at 210 gallons! I made the mistake of not looking further into just how much a Fluval FX4 canister really does filtrate. I was running just the FX4 since it's rated for 250 gallons, but quickly realized...

    Severum & Crayfish compatibility issues?

The crayfish is far too big to be eaten though. Also, the severum has not pursued the crayfish to eat it once. He's eaten flakes right next to the crayfish and then went on his way. So long as the crayfish doesn't move to his side of the tank.

    Severum & Crayfish compatibility issues?

Hello everyone! I recently had a big change in my tanks. I had a few schools of tetras and barbs in my 55g tank but I moved them elsewhere. In place of them, I picked up a gold Severum (roughly 4-5 inches) and a big crayfish from my LFS. This store has always given me quality advice and fish...

New to Saltwater! Help Is Appreciated!

Sorry, I meant 3 years until I graduate college, not 3 years until I start college. If I were to do this now I would still have to be away from the tank often and rely on my non-fish keeping family to do basic stuff. :( If you guys really think biweekly water changes isn't good enough I should...

New to Saltwater! Help Is Appreciated!

Well, that's 3 years from now. I'm not sure I'm willing to wait that long for the off chance something goes very wrong. But if you're certain it's a bad idea I guess that's that.

New to Saltwater! Help Is Appreciated!

Thank you for your time and help. If you dont mind me asking, what could go wrong while I'm gone that's different from freshwater? My freshwater tanks have the same biweekly schedule and haven't had any issues while I'm gone.

New to Saltwater! Help Is Appreciated!

Hey guys! (Forgive me if this is long) You may or may not have saw my post on the freshwater side of the forums regarding this but I won a Marineland 55g tank kit from a Petsmart raffle when I went there to buy some Prime. Lol. I was thinking ahead about stocking options for this baby in terms...

    55g African Cichlid Tank?

Funny you suggest Bolivians. I got one in my 29 with some tetras right now. I guess by just turning down your suggestion I'm not helping lol. So here are some different fish I'm interested in: Electric Blue Acaras Firemouths Tiger Barbs Black Ruby Barbs Gold Barbs Rainbow Sharks Cockatoo...

    55g African Cichlid Tank?

Yeah I've kept all the standard livebearers in my 29g at one point or another. I've really had experience with all the standard tropical setups which is why I was looking for something new like the Africans, saltwater, etc. I assume you don't think 2 weeks is enough to keep ~10 Africans? (Also...

    55g African Cichlid Tank?

I've never been interested in shell dwellers honestly. Can't say why. And yes I technically could but I would just end up going back to school the next year anyways. I've got about a month of summer left to get this going. If I wait until I GRADUATE that's 3 years waiting with a tank kit that I...

    55g African Cichlid Tank?

Hey everybody! So long story short, I entered a raffle for a 55g aquarium kit when buying a Rainbow Cichlid for my 75g SA Cichlid tank. Well, I won! And well, I didn't really think about having another tank but now I do. So now I've been doing research on things I haven't kept before...

    Schooling Fish with Angelfish

Hello again! I'm here today because I need some help finding a compatible schooling fish to live with my Blood Parrot, Angelfish, Gold Gourami, Rainbowfish, and Juli Corys in my 75g tank. I know I'm near fully stocked, and I would like to find another school that can put up with these fish. My...

Yeah I'll take the Firemouth out of the question. That'll make it a little less stocked too.

    75g South American Stocking Help

Hey everybody! This is my first post here and I'm happy to be here! Long time reader though! I came because I like the advice given here and I need some myself as I've only been keeping fish for about 8 months (my 29g tank). My question is in regards to stocking my new, cycled 75g tank...
