It just says copper by itself. Actually, it doesn't appear that any thing that is a natural element is listed as a compound. It lists iron, arsenic, copper, ect. everything by itself. I would assume that it is such an insignificant amount that it wouldn't do any harm, but I just thought I would...

My cleaner shrimp hunts them at night. I would make sure the peppermints are getting enough food, but like flip said, the mandarin can wipe pods out quickly.

I have a queen conch that I absolutely love. We've had her for about 4 months and she has grown about an inch. I think. The new growth on her shell is about an inch out from the older so I'll assume. I can't tell that she's gotten any bigger, but thats just because I look at her every day...

I'm on a different computer than I ususally am, so I can't make out the pictures that well (I don't see anything red, just blue & purple) so I'm going to go with that fact that its on rocks & you said its red...I'm guessing its cyno. Try moving a powerhead to that area & increasing flow there...

Thanks Roka, I knew that also but I wasnt sure that was what was being implied. I don't think we are going to do the lion though, so oh well.

Sorry if I am missing something, but how would the lion be much more of a risk? If we did decide to get it, I would take the shrimp back to the LFS. What else would be in danger?

Just to piggyback on the thread a little...because I think I've now confused myself... Normally, if a LFS is selling live feeder shrimp its brine & not mysis, right? Mysis is normally only frozen? Or am I backwards? Sorry, like I said before, I think I confused myself. :)

Hmm...I definitely may have to look into the lion. I had always considered one, just not with the reef. Always just assumed I'd have to do an aggressive tank to have one. Although I don't know how the boyfriend would feel because then he would definitely have to do all the work in the tank...
