    White fuzz on driftwood

It’s completely normal for driftwood. Harmless to fish but non aesthetically appealing. Just scrub it off with a brush and put it back in if you don’t want it there [emoji106].

    Moving cross country, help!

I would also prepare just a little extra water just in case. A small water change about midway will keep stress levels at a minimum. Not required but a little something extra to increase success chances. Otherwise the previous comments were well written and I would follow those fairly close...

    40 gallon (-_-)

Yeah, they get fairly large but 40 is fine. Maybe a few other fish but not a lot as you have to plan for them being 4-6 inches ish

    Cloudy water Need help

Well it’s not colored necessary (green) so it’s not a lack of filtration, or algae bloom, your bio load is safe as well. In your case I would leave the tank to settle. Wait about 5 days which is plenty of time to start seeing results. This is natural for new tanks, as substrate always clouds the...

    Angels and stuff!

Great start! You’ve been through half the battle picking fish out and researching! In my many years of keeping angles and silver dollars in particular I have never had a problem with them together. But every fish is different! [emoji23] the first setup sounds good on paper for sure though. You...

    Aggressive or schooling swordtail?

Interesting problem... sorry to hear about it. As far as help goes I have some info that may help and we can figure it out from there. I had a similar thing happen to me with swordtails and mollies. Typically they were fine, but in my case I had more fish. Now all fish obviously are different...

    Bichir tankmate?

Personally I wouldn’t even get the neons. I’ve had both kinds of fish and just by personal experience and observations my Bichir has and will just swallow them up. Especially with the right conditions it would be a playful hunt for the Bichir, and at night it would be a nightmare if the neons...

    Advice needed pls!

I don’t have as much experience as some in the medical side of fish, but I can tell you to leave the neons in the quarantine tank for a good amount of time. Make sure the current effects like the white spots have gone down and then do some water changes on that tank. Maybe wait a few more days...

    Dinosaur Bichir Swallowed a rock.

Thanks for the help! I know the run down of the basics and what happens when they swallow rocks, I was just looking to see if anyone knew any other tips. But since you’re the only person who commented I guess that’s all! [emoji23][emoji106]. Thx and I’ll keep you updated

    Dinosaur Bichir Swallowed a rock.

My Bichir swallowed a small rock and there is a medium sized lump in his abdomen. What should I do? Will he spit it out or do I have to do something?

To fill or not to fill?

And if it does need a re sealing take the old caulk off don’t layer it.

Will my floor hold a 75 gallon aquarium?

Corners of buildings are normally the best spot to put larger tanks because they’re made to literally hold the house, I’d still check if there’s supports or trusses running along where you want to put it though!

"Used" tank, no fish, cloudy water

Never had this particular problem before but if I was in your situation I’d do 25% water changes every day or every other day until it looks a lot better, than the water should clear itself. Obviously this is my opinion though, so if someone who has had experience with this problem, please feel...

New to fish planted aquarium in black sand

First of all, beautiful tank dude. Second, I would simply fertilize as directed on the bottles. I use 3 different types of Fertilizer and I dose each at least once a week and so on. I tend to find the root tabs last pretty long though, so I’d use them only every so often. Hope this helps!

Air stone in a 20g planted tank?

I would do it during the day, because that’s when plants feed (photosynthesis). At night obviously they do little to no feeding because there’s no light. And just set the air stone to an adequate amount of bubbles so that you start to see them floating around the tank. Obviously if anyone else...

29 gallon OK for 2 lionhead goldfish?

Two of them is completely fine, and do normal water changes 10% weekly and if that’s not enough just increase the amount you take out [emoji106]. Best of luck and have fun!

    Help! Pea Puffers dead, weak

As for solid advice I don’t have much. Sorry to hear about the puffers though. I do know however that puffers are easily stressed. And when they are it’s bad. I’ve seen and heard stories of fish stressing so much that it eventually kills them. I’m assuming that’s what happened to the one that...
