I bought one about a month ago, with a red cap Oranda, and now hes just a normal oranda. Almost all the black is gone. All his fins and a spot on his nose were black. Looked really cool. Could they have just been feeding him a food with lots of dye to get those colors there?

I had a big 15" guy in my 25 gallon tank a few years ago. I had to get rid of the guy, since everytime he moved hed uproot half the plants in my tank. I was sad to see him go. Hopefully the guys at the petstore gave him a good home.
