    Astrea snails

I heard they have trouble with rock also - they inhabit sea grass flats so rock is not their natural terrain . Astralium Calcar often sold as Thorny Astrea or Star snails , are rock inhabiting snails - I have 6 in a 10gal and they have never had a problem with rocks in the tank .

Proper habitat settings for a Ghost Knife

Most will say that only one ghost per tank - unless 180+ gals . the reason is they can interfere with each others sonar . It is recomended to only keep one electric fish in a tank . That being said some keep multipe BGK in a single tank and seem to have no problem . I don't think the dragons...

    Liquid Gravel vac

Proper habitat settings for a Ghost Knife

I hand feed mine frozen bloodworms . He is in a 125 planted community with an eclectic group of angels , dollars , tetra (blackskrit and neon) , bala , GBR, pleco(foot long) , featherfin cat , cories and SAE . He spends time in a driftwood cave (tried glass cave and stone cave never took to...

Already have a FW tank.. but I really love Clownfish.

For a small tank - I just go to the local grocery store they sell RO water for 4 bucks / 5 gal jug . I keep a jug always on hand for top ups . IMO Having your own RO system is cost effective if you can't get water near by or use alot more water than I do .

Already have a FW tank.. but I really love Clownfish.

I have a Perc in a 10 gal reef . I think you could do two in a 12gal nanocube . My biggest advice for anyone setting up a nano reef is try to set up some kind of refugium . It helps with stablizing water chemistry and (my experience) eliminates ntrates even in a heavily stocked tank .

    20 Gallon Reef- updated 12/11/2007

I don't run a skimmer on my 10gal with no troubles . I have an AC110 filter modded to be a HOB fuge and that keeps nitrates at 0 . I read(did alot) that for a smaller tank a skimmer is not that useful and ones that were also removed good things as well .

    Metal Halide's

I think a full description if the lighting is needed to give advice here . 1 metal halide would be Ok if all SPS is in the 2 foot patch under it with aux. lighting (T5, VHO) for the rest of the tank as needed . Give us your full lighting .

Figured i post a pic with the Blastomussa and some new mushrooms and zoas . If finally seeing coraline growth on the tanksides and intake tube - guess it is growing faster then the urchin is eating it . Also how often do you trim back macro in your fuge- seems I can trim mine every 3-4 weeks...

Video of my Angels caring for eggs after spawn

The sword was my pleco's idea right after he pulled it they spawned on it . It seems to be pinned in the corner with a nice gentle flow so I left it be - didn't want to disturb anything (water level was down - plants pulled up and I was afraid to top it up , replant till I could see how they are...

Video of my Angels caring for eggs after spawn

Here's a clip of the Angels caring for their eggs . Never seen them spawn this time but it was about 2-3 hours after they laid . This is the 5 or 6 spawn I know of and the third on a leaf others were on glass . They have kept them safe in the community tank for a day so far - its the furthest so...
