I found a Pom Pom Crab in my tank today! :) I really want to keep this little guy alive so does anyone have experience with them? I STILL havent been able to catch the mantis shrimp in my tank...I really hope I can catch him before he makes lunch of the pom pom.

If you all remember I had a bad blue-green cyano problem a few weeks ago. After a lot of debate and thought I went with my gut and got some GREAT live rock. I added 15 lbs so I now have about 40 lbs in my 46 bow. I plan on adding a little more, maybe in the next couple of weeks if I can find...

Has anyone dealt with this?? I can't seem to get it under control. When I do a water change it almost seems to make things worse. I know I need more rock and I will get some this week. I'm just afraid of adding more when I know there will be some die-off. Possibly making the problem worse...

So my tank has just finshed it's cycle. Yesterday it had 0 ppm nitrites and ammonia and 10 ppm nitrate. BTW it's a 46 bow with a good amount of LR no snails, crabs or fish yet. I just started to get the brown diatom algae yesterday. A few days ago - before my cycle ended - some hair algae...

I went and found some great LR yesterday for my new 46 bow. It's only 22 lbs, but I think it's plenty for my tank. The rock is very porus so it's weighs less than what it looks like. Haven't tested to check the cycle yet. I'll do that tonight. Here's a pic of the rockscaping. [/img]

So I set up my new tank yesterday (46 bow) with just the aragonite, filter and water. This was about 9:00 pm last night and it's almost 20 hours later and the tank is still cloudy. I'm wondering if this is b/c I didnt rinse the aragonite well enough. Or is this just how long it takes for it...
