    School Aquarium Stocking?

I think for now we'll keep it simple and just add the tetras if that is what is decided; I wasn't quite sure on their compatibility. Thanks!

    School Aquarium Stocking?

Oh my goodness guys, thank you all for your help!! Yeah I agree with the nerite snail eggs being very annoying, I have only 2 of them in my own 36gal and they laid them EVERYWHERE! (Especially since they are both females, yikes)! A little update: We just set up the tank yesterday and filled...

    Removing Nerite Snail Eggs

I have the same exact problem, and I've found that scrubbing my wood with a toothbrush helped remove most of them. It may be different with dragonstone though because of the stone texture; not sure if the eggs are attached differently on that.

    Please identify this alien

Looks like it could be a young mystery or ramshorn snail of some sorts? It is very common to get sneaky snails when getting aquarium plants; happens all the time when I get new plants! I wouldn't worry about it though, typically snails won't harm anything in the tank. :) (Anyone is welcome to...

    Where to Buy Snails Online?

I've been wanting to get more snails for my 36 Gal, and currently I have 2 nerite snails. I would really enjoy getting a few more nerites and some mystery or apple snails. The closest place I have near me that sells fish and snails is PetSmart, but they really aren't taking care of their fish...

    School Aquarium Stocking?

Thank you so much for your help! I think I'm going to maybe put java ferns in the tank since they're easy to care for and mine have been propagating, so I may as well. As for the tank, I got a text today that we are actually getting a 10 gallon because the tanks were on sale; would that be a...

    School Aquarium Stocking?

Thank you so much!! The only reason we aren't having live plants is because of the price and maintenance. The 36Gal tank I have at home has live plants in it, and I typically am spending more time cleaning it; not to mention the price of them and buying fertilizer every so often. Although I...

    School Aquarium Stocking?

Hello! I'm a senior in high school and an attendance office teacher's assistant for 2 periods. Within the next few weeks, the office people I work with mentioned about getting a betta fish for the office. To make a long story short, I educated them about fish and they decided that instead of...

    Python Automatic Water Changer Problem

I just started using my new Python Automatic Water changer for my 36 gal; I'm super excited for it! However, as I was using it, when I'm trying to refill my tank with water the connection of the python to the faucet started spraying everywhere! From all the YouTube tutorials I've watched, none...

    I'll look into those, thanks!

ML90770-00 Filter okay for 36 Gal?

I clean the filter every time I do a water change, and the filter is ok, just not working as well as it used to. I think I paid around 15 bucks since I saw it was cheaper than my other options, but now I can see why people prefer the higher quality ones. Do you possibly know of a filter that...

ML90770-00 Filter okay for 36 Gal?

I've got a 36 gal freshwater tank and I've recently been thinking about upgrading my filter. Right now I'm using the Tetra Whisper IQ filter that was relatively cheap. I've had it for about a year, and it's starting to fail on me. With some research, I came across the ML90770-00, and the reviews...

    New Hobbyist Needing Help!

This really helps!! For now I'll keep doing water changes every few days and see how that goes. Interesting about the whole water sources thing, I'll look into that, too. As for my mollies, I'll keep them, as they don't seem to mind being in a pair, as from what I've seen. I've noticed that...

    New Hobbyist Needing Help!

Hey, thanks for your help! To start off with, I always make sure to thoroughly clean my hands and arms before working in the tank, even if I didn't put anything on my hands. (Without soap, I just use warm water for a few minutes). For the test kit, I'm shaking the bottles for a while before...

    New Hobbyist Needing Help!

Hi everyone, I really hope someone can help me out with this! I'll start with the basics as follows: I have a 36 Gal. Freshwater Tank. 1 Marble Angelfish 2 Lyretail Mollies (I'll get into why later in this) 6 Panda Corydoras 2 Nerite Snails (Keep in mind: This tank was started earlier this year...

    Hey hey!

I'm fairly new to the aquarium hobby, only starting this last Feb/March of 2021. I decided to join because I've had a lot of random problems lately with my tank that I'd like some input on by more experienced keepers. It also just seems fun to talk about fish and get inspiration from other tanks...
