Hi I have recent added a red honey gourami onto my tank,(5 days ago) tank has been fishless cycled and has 6 harlequin rasbora and a bristlenose catfish who are all doing fine but my red honey gourami has gotten browner on the top half of its body over the last couple of days. I’ve attached a photo
Thankyou, I have gently cleaned off some of the visible algae during maintenance and will see how it goes now the air stone is in helping the flow, otherwise will look into the mystery snail or ottos ☺️
Tank has been set up for about 7 weeks now, I did the fishless cycle as the advice from my local fish store and took water sample in for tests weekly. Water parameters are all okay I believe PH:7 Ammonia:0 Nitrite:0 and Nitrate is between 30-40.
Lights are on for 6-8 hours depending on my work...
There is white/brownish stringy/snowy looking stuff on my plants. Fish seem okay so far but not sure what it is or how to fix this problem or why it’s happening. New to fish keeping. Freshwater planted tank.
