i feed mine blanced cucumbers and other veggies and he is thriving it has easilt doubled in lenght in the last month or so

I used washed sand in one of my tanks which is basically the same as play sand i just let it settle and then turned my filter on no problems so far (it has been about a week) and my fish don't stir up the sand enough to get it into the filter but i keep the intake about 4 inches from the bottom

yeah i've been checking them out i do really want an aro or maybe a few not 100% sure yet, i still got a bit of work to do before its reasy, i will be testing to see if it will hold water this weekend, i just did a re-seal on it so heres to hoping!!

they aren't too bad i paid 40 bucks for one tht is 25 feet long and considering the time u save it is a very good investment

good luck gettin a 4 foot tank thru the door my tank is about 3 and a half or so with the trim and everything that goes around it and i have to completely take off one of the sliding glass doors on the house to get it thru

I breed my own feeders, convicts work very well for this

Yea i'm also considerin turnin it into a freswater tank at least for a lil while till i can afford all the stuff i would need for a saltwater tank

i can put in anywhere i want in my house really it one story concrete slab, so weight is no issue, i can build a stand for it if it doesn't come with one which is no prob, i build houses for a living a tank stand is no prob, and i will find out what type of filtration and stuff it has tomorrow...

What is the best way to diffuse the C02 in you tank currently i am using a diffusor stone on the end of the air line and seems to be working pretty good but are there any better ways????

I'm running one 55 gallon with a pretty hefty bioload, it's got 1 convict, 2 BP's, 1 Angel, 2 Dwarf gourami's, 2 Clown loaches, 1 Weather loach, 1 Ropefish, and 20 or so feeder whiteclouds. Now i know that is alot but most of them are just in there to grow and and will be moved to other tanks...

Yea thats what i am kinda thinking but unfortunatly i can't be sure because the 2 that are gettin bullied have really faded colors so i can't really tell, i have since added the larger one to my 55 where he has been doing good (not so aggresive now) and am waiting for the other 2 to brighten up...

i have a pump that is rated for about 210GPH with a max head of 5.5 feet (it's a Jebao PP-399), the top of my 55 will be about 4 feet above my sump so do u think that would be enough flow??? Also i am currently planning on using my old 10 gal for the sump is that big enough or should i go...

I was jsut wondering if adding 12 or so more feeder white clouds to my convict tank will reduce the aggresion between the convicts. I currently have 5 in there and the biggest convict (about 2") is not allowing the other 2 to do anything (one is close to 2" the other about 1.5") they just sit up...

Well thats good right now there are 3 of them in there own tank i'm not to sure if i have any females tho so far the all look like males, and the biggest one is very aggresive towards the other 2 he swims around the middle of the tank and the pot and the others mostly sit up in the top corners...
