Bolivian's are DEFFINITLEY more hardy... however not nearly as pretty. I have 5 blue's and one gold(it snuck in with the blues) in my 90 planted. They dont bother anybody but "ram" each other in sparring matches a lot.

Break it up gently so that its identifable as to what is the bottom of the moss and what is teh top. Tie it with cotton thread to a piece of bogwood or rocks. If your doing it to rocks a better idea would be using a nylon hair net. It prefers cool conditions(72-77 degrees) with Co2 injection...

I never suggest products to balance your PH. Nature is your only balancer. If you want it down the only REAL way to keep it down is with Co2 injection and this is really only a good idea if its a planted tank... I dont trust and dont use the PH balancers. As long as the PH is at a steady...

You cant get it from Florida driftwood even... Apparently there has been a ban on its exportation... I was looking for some too... anyone finds some... hook a brother up.

Lets start a list of plants that do not require Co2 injection for good growth... also might as well include low light hardy plants in here... lets say require less than 2 WPG. All Anubias Species do fine in low light and no Co2. Dark green leafy very slow groth attaches to driftwood well...

No good... Its a planted tank and have to have an accurate reading of my dissolved Co2 level. PH buffers invalidate any readings. The only buffers that dot are carbonate buffers... i.e. Baking soda...

I need to add baking soda religously to keep them where they should be... If I dont they will hit zero in no time and then my PH crashes. Had it hit 5.0 again today when it was 6.7 last night... any ideas what could be doing this? Just in general and maybe it will lead me in a direction I...

I believe that I have a TON of algae waste. I did a black out and am now algae free... however I have mounds of waste on EVERYTHING!!!! Dusty looking stuff Its going to take several small water changes to get rid of it all... anyone ever have this happen?
