It sounds like I should be able to get a few months out of a 20 oz tank then, provided the equipment to go with it is suitable.

I have a 20 gal planted tank with DIY CO2 on it and I'm curious about pressurized. I know they make a 20 oz bottle for paintball. Any idea how long this would last? I would make myself an inline diffuser to go with it so it could be as efficient as possible.

Thanks for the input and stopping me from spending money for no good reason. I had seen that a lot of people use canister filters here and I wanted to look into it. I'll stick with what I have and play around with the media in it to get the effect I want.

I don't think that baking soda and vinegar would work. First off, I'm not sure what the chemical reaction is, but does it even make CO2? Secondly, even if it did make CO2, it would only create a spike and not a steady supply like the yeast would produce.
