Tank is doing great. Pete seems to be doing well, he's ignoring his silk plants and the terra cotta pot at the moment. But no signs of BGA so I'm happy.

The first params I posted are from the 9th. I retested nitrate tonight, and its still below 5 ppm. So I dosed almost a capful of nitrogen tonight. I will retest the nitrate levels again tomorrow.

I think oscar tankmates depend on the temperament of the oscar and the size of the other fish. I had an oscar a few years ago and we kept Red-tail tinfoil barbs and a pleco in the same tank and never had any problems. Our oscar was pretty docile though.

The aponogeton did great until the BGA overran it. I'm seriously thinking about picking up some Hornwort when I go back home this weekend. Pete seemed to really enjoy the Moneywort when I was there, he was playing in it and laying in it.

I've noticed my betta do the same sort of thing. I have a coral ornament in his tank that he lies on or under a ledge of in the evening. I'm anxious to get a picture of it cause its so adorable, but if I get too close he is instantly zooming about his tank. Guess I'll have to use the zoom button.

Shold I take the Moneywort back and exchange it for hornwort if they'll let me? Or will a 25 watt light be enough for the tank? I found a 25 watt light bulb thats compatible with my tank that I could get by this weekend. (I currently have a 15W light.)
