    They are not on the trunk. They are where the polyps come out and also appear to be on the tip of the polyps. I touched the affected polyps and when they are completely retracted, there are no black dots. The rest of the coral is extended normally and beautiful.

    My finger leather coral has small black dots that just appeared today. What is it and what do I do about it? I'm new to reef aquariums.
