Iv got a pair that have laid eggs before behind the filter but then all the eggs disappeared with no fry. I think the barbs got stuck into the fry. They have now dug a hole in the sand under some rocks. will let you know what happens with mine as well.

what about a gold/red severum for the big fish. mine is verry calm but i think it might eat something like neons. why not discus or angels for the bigger fish?

i have cherry barbs and they dont nip at my rams fins. they keep to themselves most of the time

i think a school of normal neons would look great in that tank

unfortunately al of the fry have been consumed by something overnight. my money is on the rams. they hide in the plants and raid whenever they get a chance. im moving the rainbows into a bigger tank so that i can try and breed some rams.

is it a good idea to keep fry in one of those livebearer fry containers that float on the top? do you think it will allow for enough circulation? Thinking about doing that so that they will be easier to feed and wont get eaten by the other fish either, or the filter

here are some pics They have made a nest at the back left of the tank and have destroyed most of the plants in that area. The female in the pic has a deformed mouth. I should have looked closer when buying them at the lfs but she is so bright in color.

thats fine. i have two big pieces of bpg wood. i didnt soak them well enough and my water looks like tea. i think im gonna take them out and soak them for a few more months

i recently bought a juvinile archer fish. im keeping him in a 29 gal planted tank t the moment until he gets big enough to move to my 65 gal he ate for the first two weeks but now you has suddenly stopped eating and looks lethargic. he ate both bloodworms and flakes. Any ideas?? :(
